Terra Incognita
On the eve of a blank chapter,
The fog rises and blurs
The lines I once recognized,
The paths I once walked.
On the eve of a blank chapter,
I wonder who is still there—
Not her who traversed the mountainscapes,
Nor the faded figure in the far distance.
On the eve of a blank chapter,
I am only here,
Dissolving.
This series is a personal exploration of the unstable geography of home. After fifteen years of mobility and migration, I find myself on the cusp of another transition, this time from the Pacific Northwest to Europe. The fog that rose on the last day of 2025 blurred the familiar, rendering the landscape—and my sense of self—unrecognizable. In that moment, the external and internal merged, and I was left with only the present: dissolving, uncertain, and open to what comes next.
